Is Tiffany's salsa made in Hawaiʻi?
Yes. Every batch is made in Hawaiʻi and has been since 2004, using fresh local tomatoes, local green onion and local cilantro.
Which Tiffany's salsa is the hottest?
Smokin' is the hottest — it is a fiery hot salsa made with habanero peppers. Sassy and Slammin' are both medium, and Suavē is the mild one.
Which Tiffany's salsa is the mildest?
Suavē is the mildest. It is a smooth red salsa made with fresh local tomatoes, local green onion, local cilantro and jalapeños, and it is good served hot or cold.
Does Tiffany's salsa contain artificial preservatives?
No. Ingredients are prepared fresh daily and every batch is made fresh weekly in Hawaiʻi, with no artificial preservatives. For the complete ingredient and allergen statement, check the label on the tub.
Do you ship to the mainland?
No — Tiffany's is sold in Hawai'i grocery stores only. There is no online store and we don't ship to the mainland. If you're visiting the islands, the store locator shows every shop that stocks it.
What is the difference between the four flavors?
Sassy is a chunky classic red and the one to reach for with tortilla chips. Suavē is the same red family but smooth and mild. Slammin' is a green tomatillo salsa that is excellent on eggs. Smokin' is the habanero version of Sassy — a chunky red, but hot, made with habanero peppers. All four come in a 12 oz (340g) tub.
Who is Tiffany?
Tiffany is the founder of Sassy Foods, Inc. and grew up in LaFamilia, Maui's first Mexican restaurant, which her parents Polli and Kent Smith opened in 1969. They went on to create Makawao's Polli's Mexican Restaurant. Tiffany's first batch of salsa was made as Christmas gifts for family and friends, who told her to put it on the shelves.
