The small print
Privacy Policy
Short version: the only personal information we collect is what you type into the contact form, and we use it to reply to you. Nothing else.

Who we are
This website is operated by Sassy Foods, Inc.(“we”, “us”), a food producer based on Maui, Hawai’i. If you have any question about this policy, contact us through the contact form.
What we collect
We collect information in exactly one place: the contact form. Depending on which option you choose, that may include:
- Your name and email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to give it
- Your store name, role, island, number of locations and timeline, if you contact us as a retailer or buyer
- Your outlet, deadline and topic, if you contact us as a member of the media
- Your favourite flavour and where you shop, if you tell us
- Whatever you write in the message field
We do not ask for and do not want payment details, government identification numbers, or any special category of personal data. Please do not send them.
Technical information
When you submit the form, your IP address is processed briefly for two protective purposes: rate limiting (so one source cannot flood the form) and bot verification. It is not stored in a database and is not used to build any profile of you.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. There is no advertising network, no cross-site tracker, and no analytics product that identifies you as an individual. That is also why you have not been shown a cookie consent banner — there is nothing to consent to.
If we ever add website analytics, it will be a privacy-first, cookieless service that reports aggregate page counts only, and this policy will be updated before it goes live.
Who else processes your information
We use two service providers, and only for the mechanics of receiving and answering your message:
- Resend — delivers the contact form submission to our inbox and sends you the confirmation email.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — verifies that a submission came from a person rather than a bot. It processes your IP address and basic browser signals to do this. Turnstile is designed not to track users across websites.
The site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs. We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, for any purpose, ever.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions live in our email inbox. We keep them for as long as is useful for the conversation and our business records, and delete them when they are no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your message sooner.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you these rights explicitly, along with the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them — and note that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. If you are in the UK or EU, the UK GDPR and GDPR give you equivalent rights, and our lawful basis for processing your enquiry is legitimate interest in responding to a message you chose to send us.
To exercise any of these, contact us through the contact form and we will respond.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
